3-19-21 Meetings UPDATE

March 27th, Both Saturday Men and Women’s meetings will be open!!! Yes, in-person fellowship!

7-1-20 Meetings UPDATE

Per Group Conscience Friendship will be having in-person live meetings at the clubhouse. The meeting capacity will be in accordance with State Regulations and will remain as such until further notice.  The Clubhouse will be cleaned after each meeting and we will be observing social distancing measures.  We will still continue to have virtual meeting via Zoom.

We are in need of group members to be of service both chairing both types of meetings as well as disinfecting the clubhouse after each meeting.

6-3-20 Meetings UPDATE

Per Group Conscience Friendship will be moving forward with a "Soft Opening".  Starting the week of June 14, 2020, the Friendship Group Club House will be having "Live Meetings" at the clubhouse on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 6:30 pm.   We will discontinue these three meeting times on Zoom.  All other Zoom meeting times will remain the same.

We are in need of group member's to be of service both chairing these meetings as well as disinfecting the clubhouse after each meeting.  We will also be observing social distancing measures while at the clubhouse.

The chairperson for each meeting is listed, if you don’t see a name next to the meeting it has no chairperson.  

 

If you are interested in chairing a meeting please click on the “chair a meeting” link, fill out the form and click submit.  

 

A group member will reach out once your form is submitted and confirm your commitment.

3-24-20 Meetings UPDATE

3-23-20 Emergency Group Conscience UPDATE

Per group conscience, the clubhouse will be closed to the physical meetings until further notice due to the Disaster Declarations.  We will be hosting online meetings using Zoom as a platform. The meetings on Zoom will mirror Friendship's current meeting schedule.   Meeting links, sign up sheets, and any additional updates will be listed on our website www.friendshipaa.net  We ask if you have already signed up to chair physical meetings at friendship to reach out. Additional information and answers to the most commonly asked questions will be posted on our web site, our Facebook Page as well as sent out via email to our group members.   Thank you everyone for being patient and helpful during this unprecedented time as we find new and creative ways to fulfill our primary purpose, to carry the message to the next sufferer.

3-22-20 Emergency Group Conscience UPDATE

Friendship will be having an emergency Group Conscience TODAY Sunday 3-22-20 at 2pm to address the changes of the Disaster Declaration.  We will be having a conference call using www.freeconferencecall.com  The instructions on how to join the call have been sent to group members via email,  as well as being posted on our Private Facebook Page. Updates and any changes will continue to be posted on the Friendships website, Private Facebook Group as well as via email to existing members.  Please reach out to those members that might not receive updates from these formats.

3-20-20 Speaker Meeting Change 

Tonight's Friday Night Speaker meeting format had been changed to a discussion meeting, we are asking members to limit the meeting to no more than 10 people in order to comply with the updated Disaster Declaration.  

 

There are a variety of online meetings available, the Online Intergroup is a great resource http://aa-intergroup.org/.   

 

Friendship is currently in the process of putting together an emergency Group Conscience meeting to address the changes of the Disaster Declaration, date and time will be provided once finalized. 

 

Updates and any changes will continue to be posted on the Friendships website, Private Facebook Group as well as via email to existing members.  

 

3-19-20 Per Group Conscience

 

We will remain open at regularly scheduled times for meetings and Birthday Night.  

 

Please take into consideration your own health and potential risks you may face being confined to one room with multiple people of a variety of ages.  We have a purpose primarily to carry the message to the next sufferer - but we can’t do that if we’re transmitting viruses with our solution!

 

Going Forward we will:

- Remain seated at the close of meetings - not holding hands and forming a circle

-7th Tradition Baskets will be placed near the chairperson at the front of the meeting room as opposed to being passed around.  Chairperson will be provided with gloves to count and deposit donations. 

 

We suggest:

-Leaving space between seating, keeping some distance from other members

-Only use disposable cups

-Washing and sanitizing hands at the beginning and end of each meeting. 

-Disinfecting room at the end of each meeting

 

If, legally, we must close our doors for a time - We will have a temporary notice on our doors and on our website, stating the closure and directions to websites if needed for online meetings, etc.    

 

Or if ya’ll want to hang out in the parking lot for an hour that’s cool too unless the government quarantines all humans in their homes- in which case that would be breaking the law to meet but I’m sure you’ve done worse ;)
